Welcome!
With over 20 years combined teaching experience, the owner/operators of Closing the Gaps Learning Center in Coral Gables, FL share a passion for teaching and a love of learning that students readily recognize. Our certified teachers provide quality individualized instruction that is strategically tailored to address any existing gaps in a student’s academic skills (Pre-K – 12th). Diagnostic evaluations are used to identify problem areas that are interfering with learning and achievement. The results of these assessments guide the design of a personalized learning path to reinforce the skills needed for success.
In addition to our tutoring services we also offer test-prep courses for the high stakes SAT/ACT college entrance exams, the state FCAT exams and private school entrance exams. These courses provide test-taking strategies and techniques to help manage anxiety, as well as review of the content and skills necessary to gain an important edge. We also offer intensive, summer enrichment courses in reading and math designed to prepare students for the upcoming school year and to counter the problematic “skills lag” that occurs during the summer months.
